Test your English level

If you are learning English it is important to test yourself at regular intervals to see how you are progressing in the various English language skills areas. This give you an idea of which areas you need to work on more.

Test your English level 1

English4Today has a FREE English language level test that you can take multiple times and that stores the results of each test that you take if you are a registered member (if you do not register you can still do the level test and get your results). You can see your progress over time in your Course and Test reports area.

Take test multiple times

You can take the test multiple times and track your progress over time. All of your results are stored in your Courses and Tests area to retrieve when you need them. The results give you a question by question review and you can see a leader board to see how well you are doing compared to other students.

Tests different skills

The English4Today English assessment tests all of your English language skills including writing, speaking and advanced listening (the paid version with a trained assessor) and your grammar, reading, listening, vocabulary, basic writing and idiomatic English skills with the free version

Certified Tests

The English4Today tests are based on the CAELT and CEFR standards for English language testing and will give you a very accurate assessment of your English language level in each skill area and overall.

Personal study plan

When you complete the English4Today test we give you a personal study recommendation so that you can keep on improving your English in the areas that you need to work on.
